ABE and ESL classes run consecutively with the fall, winter, and spring quarters.
Adult Basic Skills conducts several orientation sessions prior to the beginning of each quarter. Call 682-6790 to reserve a space in an orientation session. Space is limited and walk-ins are discouraged.
New students and students who have not completed testing in the last six months must take a placement test for entry into the program.
After taking the placement test, you will receive your scores for placement into ABE reading, writing and math classes, or ESL classes.
At the completion of the orientation session, students will register for class(es).
Pay $25 tuition and $10 material fee (these may be combined on one check or money order).
Go to class.
NOTES:
1)An individual must be 16 years of age to enter the Adult Basic Education or ESL program. Any student whose class has not yet graduated from high school will need to be released from the K-12 school system in which he or she is, or should be, registered.
2)We no longer test for placement into ABE or ESL classes by appointment at the Wenatchee campus. To enter the program, a new student must attend a scheduled orientation session.
3)Currently we do not offer ABE or ESL courses during the summer quarter at the Wenatchee campus.
