ASTR& 101 5 credits Introduction to Astronomy Students will explore the universe through the images and ideas of modern astronomy while practicing basic observing techniques in the laboratory and outdoors. Includes the history of astronomy, the nature of light, the night sky, the solar system, star formation, galaxies and the expansion of the universe. Includes laboratory. Prerequisite: MATH 097 or MATH 093 or recent algebra class.
