Knights summer soccer camp

Boys and girls age 8 to 12 years old are invited to register for the Knights summer soccer camp. The camp will be held Aug. 6 to 10 from 1 to 3 p.m. at the Eastmont Parks and Rec Soccer field on Third Street in East Wenatchee. Registration is $50 and includes a t-shirt. The deadline to register is July 27 (after this date, a $5 late fee will be added). For more information or to register, go to www.eastmontparks.com.

WVC spring break soccer camp

Improve soccer skills or learn the basics of dribbling passing, ball control, positioning, and shooting offense and defense at a five-day soccer camp, with instruction provided by the Wenatchee Valley College women’s soccer team and coach Lori Van Lith. The soccer camp takes place April 2 to 6, from 1 to 3 p.m. at the Eastmont Community Park Soccer Field.

The camp is open to children ages 8 to 18 and is great for beginning and experienced players alike. Registration is $50 and includes a t-shirt if participants are registered by March 23. After March 23, a $5 late fee will be applied.

Two Knights women's soccer players named to NWAACC All-Academic Sports Team

Knights women's soccer players Ashli Fairbanks and Mindy Howard have been named to the NWAACC All Academic Sports Team for fall quarter 2011.

Fairbanks received a 3.44 cumulative GPA and Howard a 3.5 cumulative GPA.

To be eligible for the All Academic Sports Team, players must be a sophomore with a minimum of 36 credits earned, a cumulative GPA of 3.25, and be recommended by their college.
