Career Counseling and Self-Assessment. Make an appointment for free, individual career counseling to help you figure out what to major in or what to do with your life. Call Sheila Dresker at 682-6850 or stop by the student development office in Wells Hall, wing 1.
Career and Life Planning Class. SDS 106 provides an opportunity to explore career options that best fit with your personality, interests, abilities and values so that you can make a good choice that fits who you are.
The Career Center The career center is a great place to explore options that you are considering or to discover new ones. Find out what it takes to be a nurse practitioner, paralegal, computer programmer or any one of 480 other occupations in WOIS (Washington Occupation Information System) and which colleges offer the education you need. Watch mini-videos of these professionals in action, take a self-paced interest inventory, or read about a day in the life in various careers in Vocational Biographies. In the career center you will also find a collection of books on various careers, college catalogs and current job listings.
The WVC Library This is another great resource in career exploration. Ask our library staff to show you where to find books and online resources on hundreds of careers.
