Welcome! Distance learning courses provide learning opportunities for students limited by work, time, or distance, or those who enjoy alternative learning environments. Distance learning courses can also offer students taking on-campus courses a more flexible class schedule.

Blackboard Support
 Technical Support for Blackboard is provided by Presidium Learning, who can be reached 24 hours a day at 866.425.8412 (toll free).
The types of distance learning courses currently available at WVC are:
- Online Instruction – Classes taught completely online by either WVC faculty or faculty from other community colleges in Washington state. These courses are offered using the Blackboard classroom system available through the WashingtonOnline (WAOL) consortium.
- Telecourses – Instruction presented primarily through video tapes that are available through the WVC Library. Some on-campus meetings required for additional lectures and exams.
- TeleWeb – A combination of online and telecourse instruction. These classes will have some required on-campus meetings during the quarter, normally for orientations and exams.
