To be eligible for this course, you must:

  • Be 18 years of age at the beginning of the EMT course
  • Provide a high school transcript (showing graduation date) or GED certificate
  • Provide verification of current Health Care Provider CPR training (copy of HCP card) from program entry until graduation, which must be renewed annually.

Once accepted into the course, you must fulfill the following requirements:

  • Provide proof of annual liability insurance (registration receipt). Insurance is purchased through the college at the time of registration.
  • Provide verification of major medical insurance (accident, injury and sickness), which all allied health and safety students must have. Students have the option of either purchasing the Washington state approved medical insurance or providing verification of your own major medical insurance.
  • Provide documentation of immunizations: (1) current TB test, (2) MMR and (3) Hepatitis B Vaccine Series (optional).
  • A negative drug test is required for this program. Students who fail the drug test will either not be admitted to the program or removed from the program.
