Wenatchee Valley College
Financial Aid Office
1300 Fifth Street
Wenatchee, WA 98801

***IMPORTANT!!*** Be sure to use the correct forms and documentation . Use of incorrect forms and documentation will delay processing.

Please note that the 2012-2013 will be FIVE (5) quarters instead of the usual four (4) quarters. The quarters for the 2012-2013 year will be:

  • Summer 2012
  • Fall 2012
  • Winter 2013
  • Spring 2013
  • Summer 2013

What this means for you: PLAN ACCORDINGLY.. Students who receive Pell Grant at the full-time level each quarter will only receive 3 quarters of Pell Grant. If you take a lighter load during some quarters, your Pell Grant can be spread out over additional quarters. Student loans have an annual limit as well, so keep the 5-quarter year in mind when filling out your loan requests.

Description/Explanation
2012-2013 Release of Information Form To allow the college to discuss the status of your financial aid award with your parents or another person, a "Release of Information" form must be completed and returned to our office.

The release does not carry over from year to year, so you will need to fill out the form for each year you attend.

If your aid has already been disbursed, do not use this form to report changes to enrollment status.

2012-2013 Student Program & Intent Code Form Students must be admitted to and enrolled in an eligible degree or certificate program at Wenatchee Valley College to receive financial aid. If you are not coded as being in an eligible program, but you are enrolled in one, you need to fill out this form and return it to the financial aid office.
Consortium Contract & Information
Sheet
A consortium agreement is used when a student needs to take a required course at a "HOST" school because the "HOME" school does not offer the required class in the time frame needed to complete a degree. IMPORTANT:Your "HOME" school is the one who will be granting your degree.
    • If WVC is your "HOME" school (your degree will be granted from WVC), you should use this form to request a consortium.  Please carefully read the Information Sheet prior to completing a Consortium Agreement, as it contains information regarding requirements for completing your Consortium Agreement.
  • If WVC is your "HOST" school (another institution will be granting your degree), you must contact your "HOME" school's financial aid office for information about a consortium agreement.
Consortium agreements can be personally submitted, emailed to financialaid@wvc.edu or faxed to 509-682-6811. Be sure to note the subject as "Consortium Agreement".

 2012-2013 Verification Worksheet - Dependent

*NEW
INSTRUCTIONS,
READ
CAREFULLY*

If your application has been selected for a process called verification and you had to list your parents information on your financial aid application (FAFSA), you will need this form.

Verification is a process where our office will be comparing information that was listed on your FAFSA to copies of your and your parents tax information. If there are differences from what was reported, we may need to make a correction to your application.

Complete this worksheet, following directions carefully. The answers to the questions will determine the types of documents - if any - that you will need to submit in addition to the worksheet.  Submit the worksheet with any required documents. Make sure that you and one of your parents sign this form.

***CAUTION!*** Be careful to check the box that says you used the IRS Retrieval Tool ONLY if you DID use it AND made no changes to the data retrieved. If this item is incorrectly checked and there is no tax transcript attached, your file will be incomplete and processing delayed until you request and submit your tax transcripts from the IRS.

Also please note that if you are just now making the correction to your FAFSA to retrieve your tax data, it is helpful to wait a couple of days before turning in your worksheet, until you know that the new student aid report with the retrieved data has processed.

Loans
Loans, unlike grants or work-study, are borrowed money that must be repaid, with interest. These are real loans-just like car loans or mortgages. You cannot have these loans canceled because you didn't like the education you received or because you're having financial difficulty. These loans are a serious obligation, so think about the amount you'll have to repay over the years before you take out a loan. Please read instructions carefully and submit the appropriate Loan worksheet for the loan(s) you are requesting.
