Here is a direct link to the federal website, along with a link to a practice worksheet, which you can download, print, fill out, and use as a reference when filling out your FAFSA online.
To receive financial aid, each student must meet the Conditions of Award outlined on the back of the award letter. Conditions can change from year to year. It is the student's responsibility to read these Conditions of Award and to direct any questions to the Wenatchee Valley College Financial Aid Office.

Loans Loans, unlike grants or work-study, are borrowed money that must be repaid, with interest. These are real loans-just like car loans or mortgages. You cannot have these loans canceled because you didn't like the education you received or because you're having financial difficulty. These loans are a serious obligation, so think about the amount you'll have to repay over the years before you take out a loan. Please read instructions carefully and submit the appropriate Loan worksheet for the loan(s) you are requesting.

Financial Aid Priority Appeal
Students who had extenuating circumstances that prevented them from submitting their FAFSA by the priority deadline or prevent them from enrolling in full-time credits for an upcoming quarter can complete and submit this form. Please note that this is NOT the appeal form for Satisfactory Academic Progress or Maximum Attempted Credits. It is ONLY for those students who filed their FAFSA late due to extenuating circumstances and wish to appeal an exception to the priority deadline date. Having the exception approved will not necessarily result in additional funds.
ELIGIBILITY: In order to be eligible for financial aid you must be receiving a degree from Wenatchee Valley College. Summer only or visiting students are not eligible for financial aid. ** NEW** -- If you wish to have financial aid for the Summer 2011 quarter, please fill out the 2011-2012 FAFSA and the Summer Aid Worksheet, which will be available in the spring quarter, once Summer registration has begun.
ADDITIONAL APPLICATION: Summer quarter financial aid requires an additional separate application (see Summer Aid Application info and link below). You must complete page 1 of the application and submit it to our office for processing.
Types of Financial Aid Available for Summer Quarter:
1. Grants - Financial aid grants for summer are limited to the Federal Pell Grant program. Processing of Summer aid will be done using the **2011-2012** FAFSA. Students that receive their full Pell grant for summer, fall, and winter will not be eligible for any Pell grant for the spring 2012. If you do not attend full time and do not use your entire Pell grant, we may be able to award your remaining eligibility in the spring.
EXCEPTIONS: Pell eligible students enrolled in a program that REQUIRES Summer attendance (such as Allied Health) will be awarded local funds matching their Pell Grant during Spring Quarter. ALL OTHER STUDENTS: If you wish to save your Pell Grant for Spring quarter instead of Summer, you need to inform us of that prior to June 20th, so that we can manually adjust your awards. In that case, your only option for summer aid would be to take out a student loan.
2. Loans - The Federal Stafford Loan Programs, subsidized and unsubsidized, are available. NOTE: If you have already received your full loan eligibility for fall, winter and spring quarters you will not be eligible for any summer loans.
3. Workstudy- Limited funds. Please see the Summer Work Study Request Form information below.
