Literacy Council

The Wenatchee Valley Literacy Council is dedicated to meeting the literacy needs of adults in our community. We provide free tutoring to adults who need help with basic reading, writing and English as a second language. We support and assist adults with literacy and assist with life skills acquisition to improve competence, and to help adults function to the fullest level in our society.

We are a nonprofit organization and count on willing volunteers to help us. We partner students with volunteer tutors, and tailor the tutoring format around the needs of each student. Our caring tutors are trained and equipped with the best methods known in the field of adult literacy. The learners in our program benefit from the one-to-one attention they receive and to lesson plans designed to meet the unique needs of each student.
