Running Start at WVC

What is Running Start?

Running Start allows high school juniors and seniors to enroll in high school and community college at the same time, earning credits that apply towards both high school graduation and college. If Running Start students choose to attend WVC full time both their junior and senior years, they may be able to graduate with a general 2-year degree such as the Associate of Arts and Sciences – DTA. This requires careful planning on the student's part from the beginning of their time in Running Start.

The WVC Running Start Handbook for Students and Parents is an excellent resource to learn about all aspects of the program.
