Tutoring services are available free of charge to all currently enrolled students, regardless of number of credits. The tutor center on the Wenatchee campus and the learning support center on the Omak campus provide a dynamic atmosphere of collaborative learning. Each center is staffed by a coordinator and competent, caring tutors who have a desire to help students.
WVC students must currently be enrolled in the class for which tutoring is requested. Additionally, we are not available to tutor high school or middle school subjects taught at area schools or home schools.

General Information
Although we strive for consistent dates and times each quarter, these are general guidelines and are subject to change each quarter:
- Tutor Center usually opens on the sixth class day of the quarter (subject to change)
- Tutoring ends the last class day of each quarter (subject to change)
- We are closed during final exams (subject to change)
- Tutoring services are not available during the summer term (subject to change)
Tutoring is available in a variety of subjects. Availability of tutoring for specific subjects changes each quarter but may include:
- Biology
- Calculus
- Chemistry
- Mathematics
- Physics
-
Spanish
We try to have math tutors available for Math 90 - Math 142 every hour the tutor center is open.
No appointment is necessary. All tutoring is done on a drop-in basis. Tutors on duty will be wearing purple lanyards with ID cards. The tutor center maintains a relaxed environment - just drop by and ask for help. Because there are often more students than tutors, we appreciate your patience while you wait for your turn. The best time for one-on-one tutoring is later in the day. Mornings tend to be the busiest times. Please bring your textbook, calculator, assignments and returned exams.
In addition to tutoring, library computers are available for doing reseach, typing school papers, typing lab reports and other school-related assignments.
If you are interested in becoming a tutor, students on the Wenatchee campus should contact the tutor center manager, Cathy Vaughn Unger, (library main floor), call 509.682-6863 or e-mail cunger@wvc.edu
