Tamara WVC Foundation welcomes Tamara Dezellem

Bridgeport, Washington native, Tamara Dezellem has joined the WVC Foundation board of directors as the secretary-treasurer.

WVC Foundation awards scholarships for 2014-15

The Wenatchee Valley College Foundation has awarded scholarships totaling $160,050 to 71 high school and returning WVC students for the 2014-15 school year.

The WVC Foundation will present two individuals with the Harvey Award and the Outstanding Friend of the College Award on May 2 during the Piatigorsky Foundation Concert at the WVC Music and Art Center.

Stacy White Memorial Scholarship established at WVC

Family and friends of Stacy White have established the Stacy White Memorial Scholarship with the Wenatchee Valley College Foundation to support second-year students enrolled in the WVC Automotive Technology program. Scholarship recipients could receive a minimum of $1,000.



Legacy in healthcare lives on for Jean and Arthur Ludwick at WVC

The family of Jean H. Ludwick and her husband Dr. Arthur "Lud" Ludwick has established the Ludwick Family Health Sciences Scholarship Endowment through the Wenatchee Valley College Foundation.

In recognition of the growing veteran population seeking higher education at Wenatchee Valley College, the WVC Foundation has renewed the $20,000 veteran work-study scholarship fund for 2013-14 and 2014-15.

WVC Foundation approves funding to support WVC for 2013-14

The Wenatchee Valley College Foundation Board of Directors unanimously approved $400,997 in unrestricted funds and endowments in support of WVC for 2013-2014. Funding will benefit students, programs, faculty and staff on both the Wenatchee and Omak campuses.

In July of 1989, Frank and Loretta Schultz established the Fred Schultz President's Award with the WVC Foundation in honor and memory of their son Fred.




Hermanson gift to WVC Foundation honors nursing legacy

Donald Hermanson, a native of Okanogan, gifted the Wenatchee Valley College Foundation with a $25,000 legacy that honors his mother and sister, both nurses, and will benefit the WVC nursing program.



Inaugural Barbara Wilson WVC Women's Luncheon

On Thursday, Nov. 14, the WVC Foundation hosted the Barbara Wilson WVC Women's Luncheon, the first of a new series of luncheons at the Wenatchee Golf and Country Club. Guests included generous women to the college who have endowed scholarships, donated to major campaign initiatives such as the Music and Art Center, and made significant contributions to the college.
