Areas of Prof. Interest
Preparation of such students is a particular interest of mine.
I mentor a research tutorial student each year--eight so far (including my current
student). These individuals have gone on to great success after leaving WVC--transferring
into e.g. the UW, WWU, Penn State and Pomona-Claremont College to finish their undergrad
work. My first two students have moved into top-ranked grad programs, in analytical
chemistry for the PhD in one case, and cancer biology for the MD/PhD in the other.
