A new WVC theater course will be held at the Performing Arts Center in Wenatchee winter quarter. WVC instructor Jan Johnston and PAC Technical Director Don Fox will teach the THTR 170: Theater Production and Administration class.
In the course, students will learn about sets, lighting, costumes, makeup, sound, stage management and box office. Johnston said lab hours at the PAC will be similar to an internship. Students will work on backstage crews of professional productions to complete their lab hours.
“All backstage elements will be covered,” said Johnston. “Students will learn how stage magic is created.”
The winter acting classes THTR 165 Acting I and THTR 265 Acting II will also be held at the PAC. Seats are still available for both courses. For registration information, see the WVC website at www.wvc.edu.
