WVC Student Nurses of Wenatchee host third annual 5K Run for Nurses May 14
The Wenatchee Valley College Student Nurses of Wenatchee (SNOW) club is offering the third annual 5K Run for Nurses fundraiser from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturday, May 14, at the Apple Capitol Loop Trail. The fundraiser includes a 5K run/walk, lunch, awards and a tug of war competition.
The event is open to the public. Children under age 18 must be accompanied by a parent.
Registration begins at 8 a.m. at Walla Walla Point Park shelter number two. The run/walk begins at 10 a.m. and heads south to the Pipeline Bridge before looping back to the park. Lunch will be provided at 12 p.m. and winners will be announced at 12:30 p.m. The tug of war competition starts at 1 p.m.
Registration is $20 per person. Children age six and under are free with a registered parent. Participants will receive one free t-shirt when they register before May 14. Additional t-shirts may be purchased for $15 each.

The 5K Run for Nurses event is being held in conjunction with National Nurses Week May 6 to 11, 2011. All proceeds will benefit the WVC SNOW club.
