The Wenatchee Valley College at Omak Foundation awarded seven Spring 2009 Franklin Allen Memorial Scholarships to students attending the Omak campus.
The $500 scholarships were presented to nursing students Mei Jackson of Omak, Alexandra Fenison of Okanogan, Elizet McClung of Omak, and Teresa Sparrowgrove of Tonasket; medical assistant certificate student Heidi Cornell of Riverside; and associate of arts and sciences students Stella Columbia of Loomis and Brian Hutson (pharmacy interest) of Winthrop.
The WVC at Omak Foundation was formed by a group of citizens in 2000 to encourage and support educational programs offered through the Omak campus.
