21st Annual United Pow Wow in Omak set for Nov. 21, 2009
Native American drummers and dancers will gather on Saturday, Nov. 21, for the 21st Annual United Pow Wow on Saturday, Nov. 21, at the Omak Tribal Long House. The public is invited to the event, which celebrates Native American Month and includes afternoon and evening grand entries and a dinner.
The first grand entry will begin at 1 p.m., with dinner following at 5 p.m. and the evening session grand entry at 7 p.m. Sonny Quinto will serve as master of ceremonies. All drummers and dancers are welcome, and host drums will be chosen at each session.
The drug- and alcohol-free event is sponsored by the Wenatchee Valley College at Omak Red Road Association, the Colville Tribes Omak TANF Youth Program, the Omak School District, and the Omak Tribal Head Start Parent Committee.
Admission to the event is free, although people are asked to bring a dessert.
