  Not strictly genealogy but at last check they had 1400 genealogy lists. The directory is poor for genealogy. Try searching by family name or put in a county name (try it without the state). Possibilities should come up. You will be able to see how many people belong to the list and if it is designated as PUBLIC you can read the discussion without subscribing. 
  
  Its great strength is ANYONE may start their own list easily. It's  free and everything posted is archived and searchable.
