WVC tobacco-free policy effective June 17
Wenatchee Valley College has implemented a tobacco-free policy on both the Wenatchee
and Omak campuses effective June 17. The policy was adopted by the college in order
to promote a healthy environment for all who visit the campuses.

Knights fastpitch awards
In addition to winning the Northwest Athletic Association of Community Colleges (NWAACC)
Championship and earning their eighth straight NWAACC East Region title, several Knights
fastpitch players and their coach were the recipients of multiple awards.

Summer Culinary Experiences for Kids start June 18
The Wenatchee Valley College Continuing Education department is offering four summer
camp sessions that will give middle- and high-school students the opportunity to create
sweet treats and culinary delights. The camps begin in June and will be taught by
continuing education instructors.

| Sandra Warrington began working when she was 13 years old to help support her mother
and five siblings. She would drive her mother to work during breaks between classes
at Pioneer Middle School, return to class, and then head to her own job after school.
She stopped going to school altogether during the last quarter of her senior year.
