The Wenatchee Valley College student senate is sponsoring a fountain fishing derby on Friday, June 1, from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. at the fountain on the Wenatchee campus.
Cost is $5 for a rod and the first fish; $3 for each additional fish. WVC students fish for free.
“Last year, over 150 families participated in this fun-filled day,” said McKensie Stanton, Associated Students of WVC Events Coordinator. “For those seasoned fishermen, we’re stocking the fountain with a few ‘lunkers’ that are a real challenge to catch!”
