Wells House
Wells House, built in 1909 as a private residence, was the first building on the WVC campus. It was home to
classrooms, administrative offices and a girl's dormitory for nearly 30 years. The house was almost demolished in
the 1970s when it was deemed unsafe for classrooms. The Wells House Committee stepped in and worked to have the
structure placed on the registry of Historic Homes. Community volunteers have spent thousands of hours repairing
and maintaining the building and Wells House is now used to host receptions and other special events.
