Financial Aid Forms 2019-2020

Please note that the 2019-2020 financial aid year will be FOUR (4) quarters with Summer 2020 being a "Trailer" quarter at the end of the year. That means for Summer 2020 aid, we will be using the 2019-2020 FAFSA. The quarters for the 2019-2020 year will be:

  • Fall 2019
  • Winter 2020
  • Spring 2020
  • Summer 2020

What this means for you: PLAN ACCORDINGLY.

Student loans have an annual limit, so keep the 4-quarter year in mind when filling out your loan requests. Remember that there are also lifetime limits for both grants and loans.

Pell Grants:  Students who receive Pell Grant during Fall, Winter, and/or Spring  may be eligible for Pell Grant in the summer, even if they attended at full-time level each quarter.  Summer pell is awarded as follows.  We first award any available "Remaining Pell", and then "Additional Pell", if applicable :

  1. Remaining Pell:  If you take a lighter load during some quarters, your aid will be adjusted those quarters and you can use any remaining Pell Grant in Summer 2020.  We will award the remaining portion of your annual award amount, up to the maximum eligibility for your enrollment (subject to annual lifetime limits).

  2. Additional Pell: Students may be eligible to receive up to 150% of their annual award limit. This applies even if they attend fulltime all year.  Students who are awarded Pell grant beyond 100% of their annual award must be enrolled in at least 6 credits during the quarter they receive the additional Pell.

Free Application For Student Aid (FAFSA)

With the exception of some scholarships, all financial aid awarding uses information found on the FAFSA. To receive grants, work-study, and loans, you will need to start with the FAFSA.
