Mousetrap

 WVC's Characters of the Knight present "The Mousetrap"

 The Wenatchee Valley College Theater Arts Club, Characters of the Knight, will present Agatha Christie's "The Mousetrap" on March 6-7 and 13-14, 2009, at 8 p.m. in the campus theater on the Wenatchee campus. Tickets available at the door.

 "The Mousetrap" is a murder mystery set in a country hotel operated by Mollie and Giles Ralston. They are snowed in with four guests and a traveler who ran his car into a snowdrift. During the night, a detective arrives to warn them that a murderer may be on his way to the hotel. When one of the guests is murdered, they realize the murderer may already be among them.

 The play originally premiered in London in 1952. It has since gained notoriety as the longest running play in theater history with more than 23,000 performances to date.

 Cast in the WVC production are Jessica Reid as Mollie Ralston, Joshua Sullivan as Giles Ralston, Carl Knowles as Christopher Wren, Mona Vipond as Mrs. Boyle, Daniel K. Selzer as Major Metcalf, Dana Winter as Miss Casewell, Richie Savedo as Parvacini and Derry Fitzsimmons as Detective Trotter.

 Tickets are available at the door. General admission is $10, children 12 and under are $5, and WVC students with a current ASWVC card are free.
