Wenatchee Valley College presents "O" at WVC 2011

Students entering their first year at Wenatchee Valley College are invited to attend the fall 2011 new student orientation, “O” at WVC on Tuesday, Sept. 20, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., or 5:30 to 8 p.m. in Van Tassell Center on the Wenatchee campus.

Students will learn how to access their student accounts, find their classrooms, manage their financial aid, take online courses and plan for their futures. Other opportunities include learning math survival skills, time management strategies, successful study habits and tips to a successful graduation. Information about WVC degrees and programs will be offered, as well as how to transfer to a four-year university.

Orientation will also include a presentation by a guest speaker from Monster College Advantage.

Light refreshments and prizes will be included.

WVC students are allowed to bring up to one guest to orientation. Students should e-mail their attendance, if they are bringing a guest and their student identification numbers to Jamie McLaughlin, WVC educational planner, at jmclaughlin@wvc.edu.
