Clay artists Dave and Boni Deal will give demonstrations of the raku firing process on Wednesday, May 13 in the ceramics classrooms and kiln yard, Wells Hall, at Wenatchee Valley College. This free event is open to the public.

The demonstrations will be in the ceramics classrooms from 1:30 to 4:30 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. The firing takes place on the patio by the ceramics kiln yard.

The Deals have been creating raku for over 40 years, working full time at their home workshop in the Cascade Mountains. They have received several awards for their work, with installations throughout Oregon and Washington, and in Tokyo, Japan.
