Write on the River is celebrating a decade of writing conferences on the Wenatchee Valley College campus and is offering full-time WVC students a 50 percent discount to attend the May conference. Students are invited to participate in a choice of 13 writing workshops in fiction, nonfiction, poetry and publishing for $80.

The conference takes place May 16-17 on the Wenatchee campus and includes workshops with professional editors and agents, award-winning authors and nationally acclaimed speakers. Saturday offerings include workshops in fiction, poetry, nonfiction, publishing, the writing life, and marketing. The conference also includes an intensive Sunday workshop with William Kenower, editor-in-chief of Author magazine, from 9 a.m. to 12:15 p.m.
