President's Message

Thank you for visiting WVC's website. Wenatchee Valley College is a student-centered institution that focuses on learning. We offer students individual support, small classes with exceptional faculty, and a quality education at an affordable price.

Wenatchee Valley College is dedicated to preparing students to succeed at four-year colleges and universities. Each year graduates of WVC make successful transitions to public and private four-year colleges and universities.

We also offer high-quality workforce and technical programs to help students enter today's challenging workplace. Our vocational/technical students graduate with the skills most in demand in today's workplace.

WVC's commitment to the healthy economic future of our region is reflected in various partnerships where we provide job training and other services for new and existing businesses and industries throughout the Wenatchee Valley. WVC also provides continuing education and training for individuals, classes for licensure/re-licensure, and general interest classes throughout the year.

Wenatchee Valley College is dedicated to your success. For decades, the college has been helping students make important decisions about their futures--setting and reaching their goals and moving to four-year schools and into the workplace with the confidence and skills they need to succeed.

With a district that covers more than 10,000 square miles (larger than Massachusetts and Rhode Island combined), WVC draws from the rich histories of the Wenatchee and Okanogan valleys. Our rich tradition of quality education began when we opened our doors in 1939 and has expanded to include communities from the North Cascades to Grand Coulee Dam to the rich farmlands of Eastern Washington and the Columbia River Valley.

We strongly believe that the mission of Wenatchee Valley College is reflected in our work: "...(to serve) the educational and cultural needs of its communities and the residents...." We at WVC enjoy our work and meeting those diverse, lifelong educational needs of our region and developing the potential of our students.

We know that our students need everything we can give them to compete at universities, for jobs, and in a world that becomes tougher to keep pace with every day. We at WVC are dedicated to constantly getting better at what we do to keep up with this changing world so that we can continue to add to our rich tradition through the success of our students.

In the welcoming, yet dynamic, diverse, and challenging environment of Wenatchee Valley College, every student is important to us. We are here for your success. I invite you to visit our beautiful campuses and learn more about the many exciting opportunities that await you. Thank you for visiting our website.

Sincerely,
Jim Richardson, Ph.D
