Wenatchee Valley College publishes outcomes information on programs that prepare students for gainful employment in a recognized occupation, in compliance with the Department of Education’s final rule on Program Integrity Issues (Federal Register, October 29, 2010). This requirement applies to training programs that are at least one academic year but are not degree programs; at WVC, most one-year certificate programs are included.
WVC prepares students in the early childhood education (ECE) program for careers that focus on children from birth to five years and their families. This program provides an understanding of a child's social, emotional, physical and cognitive development. It emphasizes practices that are developmentally appropriate and embrace both family and community.
