Summer Quarter 2015
Summer quarter financial aid requires students to complete the 2014-2015 FAFSA and a separate WVC summer worksheet that will be available once registration for summer quarter begins. You must complete page 1 of the worksheet, attach a copy of your summer quarter schedule and submit it to our office for processing.
Visit our 2014-2015 Forms page for more information and to download the summer worksheet.
ELIGIBILITY: In order to be eligible for summer financial aid you must be earning a degree or qualified certificate from Wenatchee Valley College. Visiting students (students pursuing a degree elsewhere and attending WVC for the Summer quarter only) are not eligible for financial aid. You must have a *2014-2015* FAFSA on file in our office, with the file review process complete. Additionally, you must complete and submit the Summer Aid Worksheet, which is available beginning May 18, 2015 - the day Summer registration begins.
Types of Financial Aid Available for Summer Quarter:
Grants – Financial aid grants for summer are limited to the following:
PELL GRANT: Subject to remaining annual and lifetime limits. The 2014-2015 financial aid year includes FOUR (4) quarters. Students are allowed THREE (3) full time quarters of Pell Grant in a year. If you have already received your annual (and/or lifetime) limit, you will NOT receive Pell Grant for summer quarter.
WVC GRANT: Summer WVC Grant aid is reserved for those in programs which require summer attendance. Pell eligible students who have reached their annual limit and are enrolled in a program that REQUIRES Summer attendance (such as Allied Health) will be awarded local funds matching their 2014-2015 quarterly Pell Grant, subject to any eligibility and/or funding limitations.
COLLEGE BOUND SCHOLARSHIP: College Bound Scholarship recipients may receive CBS funds during summer.
Loans - The Federal Stafford Loan Programs, subsidized and unsubsidized, are available. In addition to the WVC 2014-2015 Federal Direct Student Loan Worksheet, you must have a 2014-2015 FAFSA on file in our office, with the file review process complete. Note: If you had a loan during spring quarter, you do not need to submit a new loan worksheet for summer. Just submit a loan adjustment form and we will review your eligibility**.
**Lifetime, Annual and quarterly maximums apply. Summer quarter 2015 is considered the last quarter of the 2014-2015 school year. Any loan amount you request for summer will count against your annual loan limit for the 2014-2015 year. If you have already received your annual limit for 2014-2015, you will not be eligible for any summer loans.
Workstudy - Limited funds. Please visit our 2014-2015 Forms page for more information and to download the summer work study forms.
