Media Contact: Stacey Lockhart, Foundation executive director, 509.682.6410

The Wenatchee Valley College Foundation invites the community to experience Sweden with a Nordic evening at Wenatchee Valley College on Wednesday, March 19, at 6 p.m. in The Grove Recital Hall, Music and Art Center, on the Wenatchee campus. The evening will feature a musical performance of Swedish masterworks as well as a Smorgasbord of Swedish delicacies.

Swedish violinist Karl-Ove Mannberg joins pianist Lisa Bergman for a sampling of Swedish masterworks by Stenhammar and Fryklof paired with sassy Piazzola and esteemed European masters.

Mannberg is a veteran of the stages of Europe and the U.S. and recipient of the vLitteris et Artibus Medal. Bergman has performed previously at WVC as part of the Piatigorsky Foundation concerts sponsored by Wilfred and Kathy Woods.

Immediately following the concert, participants will have the opportunity to visit with the musicians and sample a variety of Swedish culinary delights.

Admission is $50 per person, with proceeds benefiting the WVC Foundation. To reserve a seat, call the WVC Foundation at 509.682.6410.
