Dr. Kristen Hosey is nursing faculty and lead for the Omak campus LPN to BSN program. She splits some of her time in Wenatchee to teach in the associates degree and RN to BSN programs. She is also the WVC Public Health Coordinator with experience in infectious disease. She is a board-certified public health nurse. Dr. Hosey still holds a Clinical Assistant Professor appointment at the University of Washington (UW) School of Nursing and in the Department of Global Health. Dr. Hosey received her Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) in advanced practice community health systems nursing, and completed her postdoctoral work in Nairobi, Kenya with the Afya Bora Consortium. Her expertise is in nursing education, global health, community/public health nursing, rural/indigenous health and health policy.
