Making accessibility a priority 

As part of its mission to serve the educational needs of students of diverse backgrounds, Wenatchee Valley College is making accessibility a priority. Read the full accessibility announcement made by WVC President Dr. Jim Richardson on April 5, 2018: WVC Accessibility Announcement (PDF).

Electronic and information technology resources that are created accessibly, following universal design standards, are usable by everyone on our campus, including those with disabilities.

Training sessions

Canvas (Nov. 6 and 8)

This hands-on training will go over the basics of making your Canvas course more accessible. Two instructors will be available to answer questions and provide guidance. There are currently two accessible Canvas training sessions scheduled at the library on the Wenatchee campus:

  • 10 a.m., Tuesday, Nov. 6 in library room 9250H
  • 2 p.m., Thursday, Nov. 8 in library room 9250H

PowerPoint (Nov. 29)

This hands-on training will go over the basics of making your PowerPoint presentations more accessible. Two instructors will be available to answer questions and provide guidance. There are currently two accessible PowerPoint training sessions scheduled at the library on the Wenatchee campus:

  • 10 a.m., Thursday, Nov. 29 in library room 9250H
  • 2 p.m., Thursday, Nov. 29 in library room 9250H
