Teacher Clock Hours

**Updated (March 2023) teacher clock hours process**

Wenatchee Valley College is approved by the Washington State Superintendent of Public Instruction as a teacher clock-hour granting institution. 

Step 1: Review the list of online courses already approved for WA teacher clock hours here: Approved Clock Hour Courses.

Step 2:
Review ALL available online courses here:Ed2go.com/wvc. If a class you are interested in is not on the approved clock hour course list (link above), follow the process for course not yet approved below.

Please consult the following processes for approved or not-yet approved courses:

STEP 1
Please submit the Request for Clock Hours for Approved Courses form.

You will receive an e-mail confirmation within 3 business days.  The confirmation will provide instructions for registering and paying for the class(es) and the $20 clock hour fee.

STEP 2
Register and pay for the approved course(s) and pay the $20 clock hour fee. This can be done in a single transaction. 

The $20 clock hour fee covers the course(s) in the submitted request, regardless of how many clock hours you may be seeking. Additional requests will require the $20 clock hour fee.

The intention to seek clock hours must be stated, and clock hours paid for, at the time of registration. Clock hours cannot be issued retroactively.


STEP 3
Complete the approved course(s).

STEP 4
Complete the WVC Continuing Education course evaluation for each course completed.

Issuance of clock hours transcript
WA teacher clock hour transcripts are processed quarterly in June, September, December,  and March. Completed transcripts will be sent by mail.

STEP 1
Submit a WA teacher clock hour request form:  Teacher clock hour request form for new courses

The clock hour committee meets once per quarter. Upcoming due dates for course requests:

  • April 8, 2024 for April 10 review of courses 

STEP 2
Teachers will be notified by email if the course(s) has been approved/denied for clock hours.  

When a course has been approved for clock hours teachers will receive directions for registration. Directions will be sent by e-mail.

STEP 3
Register and pay for the approved course(s) and pay the $20 clock hour fee. This can be done in a single transaction.
