Wenatchee Valley College has announced that Jennifer Ouellet, head coach of the Knights women’s soccer team, will be stepping away from her position. Levi Vega-Sanchez, assistant director of WVC Athletics, will serve as interim head coach.

During her tenure, Coach Ouellet made a lasting impact on the student-athletes she served, helping foster a culture of growth, accountability, and excellence both on and off the field. Her commitment to the development of young women and the success of the program has left a meaningful mark on WVC Athletics.

“We are grateful for the leadership, passion, and commitment Jennifer has brought to our women’s soccer program,” said Greg Sparling, WVC athletic director. “She has positively influenced countless student-athletes through her mentorship, dedication, and unwavering support of their success both academically and athletically. Jennifer’s commitment to building strong relationships and creating a positive team culture has had a lasting impact on our department. On behalf of the entire athletic department, I want to thank Jennifer for her contributions to Wenatchee Valley College and wish her continued success and happiness in her next chapter.”

Vega-Sanchez has been an integral part of the Knights coaching staff and brings valuable experience, strong leadership, and a deep commitment to student-athlete development. Vega-Sanchez served as interim athletic director prior to Sparling’s hire, and as interim women’s soccer coach before Ouellet joined WVC Athletics.

“We are excited to have Levi step into this leadership role,” Sparling said. “He understands our program, our student-athletes, and the values that guide Knights Athletics. We are confident he will provide stability and continue to foster a positive and competitive environment for our women’s soccer program.”

The college will begin evaluating long-term plans for the program while supporting Vega-Sanchez and the student-athletes as they prepare for the upcoming season.
