The Wenatchee Valley College Foundation is now accepting nominations for four annual awards that recognize distinguished alumni, friends of the college, foundation board members, and WVC community heroes. The deadline for nominations is March 1.

The awards are:

  • Distinguished Alumni Award: Recognizes an alumnus who has distinguished him or herself in their chosen professional field, made significant contributions to his or her community on a local, state, national or international level, and demonstrated integrity in his or her personal life and gained the respect of those surrounding them. Additional consideration may be given to alumni who have demonstrated a connection to Wenatchee Valley College through volunteer activities.
  • Outstanding Friend of the College: Recognizes organizations, corporations, or individuals with a history of supporting the college through time, talent and/or financial support.
  • Harvey Award: Recognizes current or previous Wenatchee Valley College Foundation Board members who demonstrate a history of support for the foundation through service and financial contributions.
  • WVC Heroes: Recognizes the behind-the-scenes supporters who have made the college a better place through their particular efforts. Any community member that deserves recognition for their support of the college can be nominated.

Community members can submit nominations at www.wvc.edu/awards. Award recipients will be announced at the Foundation Gala at the Wenatchee Convention Center on May 19.
