The Wenatchee Valley College Foundation will host a community meet and greet with WVC President Dr. Faimous Harrison on Friday, May 19, from 4-6 p.m. at the Wenatchee Valley Chamber of Commerce.

The community meet and greet is an informal, drop-in event. The no-host tasting room with beer, wine and cider will be open.

Dr. Harrison is the 13th president since WVC opened in 1939. He began in January 2023 and brings 32 years of experience in higher education. He came to WVC from California State University Stanislaus-Stockton Campus where he was the dean. Harrison also has more than 20 years of experience working in the Washington state community and technical college system.

“WVC works collaboratively with businesses and industries to support and advance innovation, and workforce and economic development,” said Harrison. “I look forward to meeting members of our diverse communities during the meet and greet at the chamber.”
