The Wenatchee Valley College Center for Excellence and Inclusive Belonging will have a Voter Registration Drive on Monday, Jan. 15, in honor of the legacy of Martin Luther King Jr. The drive will take place in Wells Hall Theater on the Wenatchee campus, and volunteers will participate in door-to-door canvassing in Wenatchee and East Wenatchee from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.

The initiative is to empower the Wenatchee and East Wenatchee communities by promoting civic engagement, inclusivity, and the exercise of fundamental voting rights.

The voter registration event in the Wells Hall Theater will include volunteers who can guide and assist participants through the voter registration process, information booths offering comprehensive resources on voting procedures and community partner programs, and a youth engagement area aimed at enlightening and motivating the future electorate. This event is free and open to the public.

“Let’s collectively honor Dr. King’s impactful legacy by uplifting our community, championing inclusivity, and ensuring every voice resonates through the power of the ballot,” said Joe Eubanks, WVC Executive Director of Climate, Culture, Diversity, and Belonging. “Join us for a day that embodies service, unity, and inspiration.”
