WVC Knights basketball set for busy week of conference play and NCW Classic action

Wenatchee Valley College Athletics is preparing for an exciting week of basketball, highlighted by the Northwest Athletic Conference (NWAC) competition and the annual NCW Classic, with games hosted both on the Wenatchee campus and at the Town Toyota Center, 1300 Walla Walla Ave.
WVC opens conference play at home on Wednesday, Jan. 7, with an NWAC Conference double-header between the Knights and Big Bend Community College. The men’s basketball tip-off is at 5 p.m., and the women’s basketball tip-off is at 7 p.m. in Smith Gym.
The NCW Classic begins on Friday, Jan. 9, at Smith Gym on the Wenatchee campus. Lake Roosevelt High School plays Tulalip Heritage High School at 5 p.m., and Cascade High School takes on DeSales Catholic High School at 7 p.m.
On Saturday, Jan. 10, the NCW Classic will move to Town Toyota Center. The Wenatchee Valley Juniors play Eastmont fifth grade at 9 a.m., Cashmere High School plays DeSales Catholic High School at 11 a.m., Omak High School competes against Tulalip Heritage High School at 5 p.m., and Chelan High School competes against Lake Roosevelt High School as the final game.
The Knights basketball teams will host Yakima Valley in Smith Gym on Saturday, Jan. 10, with the men’s tip-off at 1 p.m. and the women’s at 3 p.m.
This packed week of basketball offers fans a full slate of collegiate and high school action while showcasing WVC Athletics and regional basketball talent.
