Wenatchee Valley College offers an Introduction to Journalism course emphasize writing and reporting skills.
In addition, students may gain journalism experience through work on our student newspapers: the North Campus News at the Omak campus and the Knight Life at the Wenatchee campus.
Journalistic principles and practices that prepare students to write for a variety
of media audiences via a variety of media outlets—newspapers, online publications
and social media. Course covers research, interviewing, reporting, editing and simple
publishing of media content. Also addresses journalism history, law, ethics and social
responsibility of news organizations. Prerequisites: ENGL& 101 or instructor’s signature.
